Summer Super Activity Options
I would like us to do something as a week long activity this summer. Here are some options, mostly centered around Goshen. Goshen is close, familiar, not too far into the back country for our younger or less experienced campers, and its close to ammo stores 
If you don’t like these options, we can come up with something else.

2) Goshen Shooting Sports Venture week
3) Goshen Field & Stream Camp
4) Personalized Goshen Program
5) Goshen Lenhok’Sin Camp
6) Go to a different BSA Camp (programs will be basically the same)

1) Goshen Road to Ranger Program

A program for Co-ed Venturing members aged 14 and older, Venturing Camp will include activities required to earn the Bronze Outdoor Award and many will be able to earn the Ranger Award: First Aid, Land Navigation, Wilderness First Aid, Cooking, Leave No Trace Camping, Fishing, Wilderness Survival (over the weekend), VLST, Ecology, Canoeing, Kayaking, and Communications. Evening activities will include social events and the week will culminate with a Friday evening campfire.
2) Goshen Shooting Sports Venture week

$275 (after 4/28/08)
The entire week will be spent on shooting sports. We will offer Air Rifle, Air Pistol, Small Bore Pistol, Small Bore Rifle, Shotgun and Archery. Successful completion of five of the disciplines will earn the Venturing Shooting Sports Outstanding Achievement Award.
3) Goshen Field & Stream Camp
August 3-9, 2008 (Bowman)
$275 (after 4/28/08)
Rifle Shooting, Archery, Trap Shooting, NRA qualification shooting for both rifle and shotgun, lake and stream fishing and other outdoor sportsman skills are featured.
4) Personalized Goshen Program

Essentially, we would spend a week camping at Goshen and take day trips to the various shooting ranges in the George Washington National Forest; we could also take day backpacking trips around Lake Merriweather, or canoe the lake, or whatever you wanted to do. I need to contact Goshen to firm up if this is possible, but I don’t think they would say no.
5) Goshen Lenhok’Sin Camp

Minimum 7, maximum 12
Lehnok’Sin is Goshen’s High Adventure Base. Various programs are available, from 5 days of primitive camping, to a 5 day canoe trek on the river, to Civil War Camp, to COPE Course, etc.
